Another on-time, affordable, and high quality experience at Jim's Auto! Our 2000 Ford Explorer now has 310,000 miles on it - yes you read that right, 310,000 miles - it is still safe and dependable transportation thanks to the attention-to-detail care and maintenance it receives from Joe, Jim, Lee, Dave, and everyone who works at Jim's. They treat our vehicle as if it were one of their own, and they have never done anything but bend over backwards for us and provide us with trustworthy advice, e.g. fixing the things that need fixing, but not running up a big repair shop bill when it is not necessary. While the team at Jim's Auto obviously has all of the latest technology in their shop, their commitment to outstanding customer service is "old school" in every flattering sense of that phrase. The bottom line is this: They say exactly what they are going to do for a specific price, and then they actually do exactly what they said they were going to do for that specific price...sounds simplistic, but in this day and age of the strategy to "add-on" or "sell up" that occurs in so many repair shops and dealerships, I find the "old school" approach at Jim's to be incredibly refreshing! They also replaced my left front headlight, and cautioned me about an issue with an outer tie rod that will need to be addressed soon in order to continue to operate the vehicle safely. Took our 2001 Ford Escort in for a routine oil change. Thanks to the attention-to-detail provided by the guys in the shop at Jim's, they discovered the serpentine belt on the vehicle was frayed to the point of being at risk for breaking, which would have rendered the vehicle totally inoperable. Since both my wife and I put at least 150 work-related miles on our vehicles each day and are often 100 miles away from home, having any problems of this nature would have been more than just an "inconvenience" for us - not to mention the safety issues at stake if the belt would have broken while driving. Joe and the crew at Jim's Auto got the belt replacement appointment scheduled and completed within 24 hours of when they discovered the problem, which of course resulted in zero lost work time for my wife or me. This vehicle has over 200,000 miles on it and keeps operating in a safe, reliable, and economical manner thanks to the great care and maintenance it receives from the guys at Jim's Auto!

I depend on Jim's Auto. I have used them for at least 15 years. I would never purchase a vehicle without having one of their mechanics check it over first. Four years ago I hit a tree in the road in Iowa which damaged my radiator. The repair work had to be done six hours from home. Eight months later we noticed that my air conditioning wasn't working. I called Joe at Jim's Auto and asked if he thought it might just need freon. He remembered the radiator damage and felt almost certain that the air conditioner must have suffered damage also but had just gone undetected. He volunteered to call my insurance to make arrangements to make this repair as part of the previous accident. This easily saved me $500.

My 2000 Ford Explorer finally needed a new transmission at 241,000 miles. Jim's Auto quoted me a great price on one that carries a 3-year 100,000 mile warranty. After evaluating the holistic condition of the vehicle (it's in good shape otherwise thanks to Jim's Auto) and doing the math on the amortization of the total cost of this work over 12 months, I quickly realized that the financial investment would be far less than a new car payment every month for the next 12 months. With that knowledge, I decided to pull the trigger and let the folks at Jim's Auto do what they do best, which is keep me on the road safe and sound! As always, a big thanks to Joe and Jim, as well as to Dave in the shop who did the actual work...fantastic work guys - on time and on budget. Took the vehicle on a long out of state trip the day after the work was done and it ran like a charm. :o)

My 2001 Ford Escort (167,000 miles) needed a new alternator. Jim's Auto put one in and turned the job around in less than 24 hours from the time I dropped it off with no advance notice...and, they delivered the work at the exact price of the estimate - only $245 including tax! Talk about attractive and competitive pricing! Our 2001 Escort needed new tires...we put a ton of miles on this vehicle annually, and the last set of tires was put on three years and almost 70,000 miles ago at Jim's Auto. At that time, the cost was $81.50 per tire. Three years later, the price we paid at Jim's was only $9.00 more per tire for the exact same brand. Great quality - great price. Thanks, Jim & Joe!

Jim's provides the highest quality of service delivered on time at a fair and reasonable price. Without question, their customer service is second to none. I simply can't say enough good things about Jim, his son Joe, and their technicians like Lee. I was referred to Jim's Auto Service by a colleague at work after complaining about the level of service and/or unreasonable prices I was experiencing at the dealer or other auto repair shops. I always get great service at Jim's Auto. No matter what make or model of car I've owned, I never hesitate to call Jim or Joe for maintenance or repairs. They always get me scheduled quickly and I never have to wait long for the work to be done. It's always a pleasure doing business with them.
